    Spring Hike or Bike and/or BBQ at Top of the Valley Farm, located in the Beaver Valley near Kimberley Ontario.  Arrive early for a hike, or just for dinner.  

    We would like to invite the Ski Bees members to hike in the valley, or go cycling as we are located on a road bike route.  Complete with a BBQ for dinner here at Top of the Valley Farm on the Saturday night, if the winds are low we will also have a bonfire.  Our farm is located just 1 km up the road from a Bruce Trail entrance.  For road bikes or gravel grinders, our road has a cycling shoulder and many top notch routes as hilly as you would like or more flattish, but not flat.  We can supply people with maps, directions, drop off service to trail entrances from which you would hike towards the farm, if you are solo, stop in at the farm and meet up with a hiking partner(s).  

    BYOB & Bring Your Own Chair

    There are two B&B's in the area, handy to the trails, they do book up, so if you are planning on staying, be sure to reserve soon. The B&B contact information is in the auto reply when you rsvp.

    We would like to have a hiking weekend complete with a bonfire and BBQ here at Top of the Valley Farm on the Saturday night.  Our farm is located 1 km (just up the road) from the famous Bruce Trail.  We can supply people with directions and maps to self guided hiking in the Beaver Valley. TWO SKI DAYS/WEEK WEDNESDAYS AND some THURSDAYS


Our program starts Wednesday, January 18th and runs for 6 weeks.  We have an optional open day at the end of our regular season, which, if not used for weather make-up days, becomes part of our winter program. Leave work and chores behind. Come out and enjoy the fresh air, and do something good for your mind and body, you will be glad you did. We are one of the only clubs offering Wednesday and some Thursdays, both days at private clubs.  When the public resorts are busy hosting large groups of tourists and schools, we enjoy a more pleasant experience without chaotic crowds.  Locals will be loving the two-day option, as will the drive-ups with group hotel discounts and a weekly restaurant-of-choice for reservations.  You told us you want more social time, and we hear you!

WOMEN & MEN MEMBERS


Our members are men and women of all ages who share the enjoyment of skiing! Come on your own and make new skiing friends, or get some buddies together to share these fun winter days with. We encourage new members to join and experience how much fun Ski Bees can be!

DISCOUNTED LIFT TICKETS - SKI FOR LESS

We buy in bulk at group rates.  By joining SKI BEES you can access private clubs at group rates,  costing you less than buying lift tickets at the most popular Ontario resorts. Our economical $199.00 membership opens the door to a midweek alternative to pricy private club fees.  SKI BEES offers you midweek skiing without the public resort lift lines, better grooming, and better terrain.  What would the lift tickets cost at a private club? It varies from club to club, but they range from $50 - $70 per day (21/22 rates). 

APRÈS SOCIAL ON SEVERAL WEDNESDAYS


After day on the slopes feeling refreshed and invigorated, perhaps by skiing a full run non-stop, carving a solid arc in the snow, increasing your edge angles, making tracks in fresh snow, enjoying the corduroy, or conquering the challenges of deep cut up snow, join us in the lodge at the end of the day, to relax and warm up.  We want to hear about your day. 


DESTINATION SKI TRIPS

Exclusive destination Ski Trips in 2023: Sun Peaks, Sunshine and Lake Louise. On the calendar for 2024 are also a European and American resort.  Our goal is to have one ski trip each to Canada, USA, and Europe once international travel has stabilized.

Also options of spring/summer/fall walking and/or cycling combination trips so one partner can enjoying a hiking experience while the other is enjoying road cycling. How exciting is this?   We are looking at Burgundy France for fall cycling ,  and Switzerland for spring walking/hiking. More information on the Destination Trips page.

Our SKI Pros


Ski Bees has developed a great program with the most talented, experienced ski professionals available in Ontario.  Skiing with our team gives skiers a feeling of confidence and camaraderie. We have the latest techniques and tips to share with you.  Gone are the days of slow-paced lessons.  Our team of expert pros are astute; while keeping the pace up, you'll ski runs suited to your ability as your lesson moves around the resort finding new terrain to set you up for the best possible experience.  Our staff is hand picked and we feel they are some of the best in Ontario.

SKI BEES is an Intermediate - expert ski club

The private ski clubs we visit offer premium skiing, short turns and cruising, meant for skiers who are comfortable on at least easy blue slopes.  We generally suggest that our members be comfortable on easy blue terrain and be able to safely navigate skiing down from the top of a ski hill such as Blue Mountain, or Mt. St Louis - Moonstone before joining Ski Bees.  Why? It's simply logistics as the learning centres and peripheral green runs are often closed on weekdays at the private clubs. 


What's a Travelling Club?

Our $199  membership  Skiers benefits from the buying power of the membership to purchase bulk lift tickets and travel at discounted rates accessing some of the best skiing and ski pros in Ontario and destination resorts.  

Our "home" is the resort of the day where you'll see our banner logo and familiar faces. Knowing that you will always be greeted with a warm smile and friendships you develop within our membership, is what makes Ski Bees home at every resort we visit. 

Our home office is located just west of Collingwood in the Beaver Valley.

A yearly membership year starts September 15th. 

What is Carving?



"Carve it up", is an expression skiers make before heading down a favourite run.  

It is the ability to leave to clean carved arcs in the snow, with out "wash-out" or "scrubbing" to blur the path the skis have laid down in the snow.  Advanced and Expert level skiers pride themselves on leaving cleanly carved tracks on fresh corduroy at the start of the day when the lifts open.  Ah yes, the feeling of fresh tracks. 

Can intermediate skiers carve?   Yes, of course, our expert pros will help you make your first arcs on easy terrain. 

All levels in our lesson programs will include some prime carving tips so we can all Carve It Up!
