THE BEST OPPORTUNITY!
Ski Bees offers the best opportunity to ski the private ski clubs/resorts in Ontario. The Ski Bees environment is very friendly, encouraging and their instructional staff is one of the best on the escarpment. Regardless of your level of skiing ability, Ski Bees provides a place where you can improve your skills. George P.

JUST MOVED UP FROM THE CITY!

When I moved up from the city to Wasaga Beach a couple years ago, I was on my own and didn’t know anyone. I was already a travel ski club member out of Burlington but a friend of mine suggested joining Ski Bees as a way to meet locals. I may not have followed ALL of Peter Balzer’s advice, but am sure glad I did this time :)

I also really appreciate how well organized every single ski day, ski trip, and event is organized - from the communication to the website, newsletter, photo sharing and the app where we can track events and purchase lift tickets - it is all so efficient and convenient!  Oh and the benefits we are able to receive are pretty awesome too - this year we received a one year FREE subscription to Ski Canada magazine and fantastic discounts at Sporting Life (including ski tunes, shoes, apparel and so much more)! WHAT DOES SKI BEES MEAN TO ME?

Ski Bees is what I look forward to every winter, I have truly met some wonderful people, whom l can call friends. 

Wendy, in my opinion, is doing a fantastic job of organizing many activities,(golf, pub nights barbecue, hiking etc) we can all enjoy.

SKI BEES CAN'T BE BEAT IN MY BOOK!

My wife and I joined Ski Bees s in 2017. Friends and colleagues from Orillia had been talking about it for years. 

The decision to join turned out to be a brilliant move. Ski bees has been a consistently wonderful experience. We have had great lessons; I have improved my skills and enjoyed engaging and constructive direction from my last my instructor Andrew.  I can’t say enough about him.

I also love the trips. Most recently, we traveled in March to Jasper and skied Marmot Basin . We hadn’t met many of the people who attended the trip, but I feel like we came home with 16 new friends. Really a great time.

Ski Bees can’t be beat in my book. I’m just waiting for the 23/24 season! John S

What a great season with Ski Bees this year! Kicked off with amazing trip to Sun Peaks then great midweek ski days including lessons with top notch instructors.

MY FIRST SEASON WITH SKI BEES

I enjoyed skiing at a different club on the escarpment each week.  Ski conditions were well maintained, even when Mother Nature was slow to get the season fully underway.  Check-in was always welcoming, and organized.

The skiers in my lesson group were well match re ability, and our instructor was very knowledgeable, approachable, with a good sense of humour.  Each of us enjoyed improvement, and confidence with our skiing.

Weekly après-ski was a good way to finish the day, beer in hand, listening to music, and chatting with new acquaintances.

I am planning to rejoin Ski Bees next season.  Louise W.

AFTER SEVERAL YEARS AWAY

I returned to Ski Bees after several years away and the experience was great. Starting with the nice greeters at the checkin desk and reconnecting with members I hadn't seen in a while.

The ski school was lots of fun with the people I was with and being a small group you receive excellent instruction. The clubs we visit are all very good, being midweek there are no lift lines and ski conditions well groomed.

WELL ORGANIZED

When I joined the local Ontario Ski Bees group, leader Wendy announced the Sun Peaks trip. I signed up immediately. 

Wendy is a remarkable organizer. This is the first event I have participated in with “Ski Bees” and now, I am very much looking forward the the rest of the season.

The camaraderie and inclusiveness that I have experienced as a new member has been exceptional.  

My experience has always been that the culture of any organization is reflected from the top down. This certainly seems to be the case for Ski Bees. Debbie M.

REALLY LOVED THE PRIVATE CLUB EXPERIENCE!

This was my first year as a Ski Bee.  I took a group lesson which was excellent.  I had a great group and really wonderful instructor.  I highly recommend taking a lesson! Since I joined Ski Bees on my own, I made some new friends during my lesson and Wendy introduced me to some other people.

I really loved the Private Club Experience as I've been skiing mostly at Blue Mountain for years. Mary H.

Had a wonderful time this year, the new changes that have been implemented are great; they have streamlined the registration process.
You can't ask for better instructors, they have helped me up my skiing to the next level.
Wendy and clan have taken a great club and made it even better, looking forward to what she has in store for us this fall.

TAKING IT HI-TECH

Ski Bees has been apart of my winter routine for the past 20 + years.  Being a part of Ski Bees gives me a great opportunity to ski the private ski resorts without the lift lines and hefty fees to be paid.  The social aspect of Ski Bees goes on well past the winter months, so the fun is year round.   Wendy, Steve and Emma continually work hard to make Ski Bees a very successful operation taking it high tech this past ski season was a great addition making it so easy to sign up, checkin, & pay.

THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY WINTER!

"I have been a member of Ski Bees ski club for many seasons now, and I have to say that the Wednesday trips to private clubs in Collingwood, Ontario have been the highlight of my winter. The entertainment provided for après-ski was always top-notch, and I always looked forward to spending time with my fellow members.

Last season, I had the opportunity to go on two extended trips with the club - one to Sun Peaks and the other to Jasper. Both trips were incredibly well-organized, and I felt that the club leaders Wendy and Steve did a fantastic job in ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Any issues that arose were quickly and efficiently dealt with, and I felt that I was in good hands throughout the entire trip.

Looking ahead to next season, I am excited to see what Ski Bees has in store. I would love to see the club plan a trip outside of Canada, as I think that would be an incredible experience. Ski Bees has changed my enjoyment of winter. My ski ability has improved by taking lessons.  But more than this, we have made many new friends who we value deeply.

IT ONLY GETS BETTER WITH TIME!

I continue to enjoy being a member of Skibees. It only gets better with time. I was especially glad that we could take the bus again.
The trip to Sun Peaks was a great kick off to the season and rumour has it that it will be offered again in January.  Marg E.

NEWBEE!

My first year as a newbee was awesome!  Loved it. The skiing with Ski Bees is far superior and safer with access to better snow at the different mountains. The trip to SunPeaks was outstanding. I got quite the  ribbing for being such a young gun on our trip to SunPeaks.   Awesome adventure, had some great turns, met some really cool other Ski Bees and we ripped a bunch of the fresh pow together.  I can't wait for more adventures and another trip! I love the ease of use of the Wild Apricot App.  Purchasing the lift ticket and check-in was incredibly smooth and fast.  Well done!  I just screenshot the lift ticket QR and save in my photos.  

The ski conditions were incredible on Wednesday at Craigleith.  They made mountains out of thin air (and a little water). Michelle

A LOCAL’s PERSPECTIVE.
I joined Ski Bees several years ago in order to have the opportunity to ski around my hometown and to take lessons to improve my skills. I have made new friends in my community and my skiing confidence has grown in leaps and bounds.  By skiing a full day each week I am able to develop the strength to go on an annual ski trip in the mountains and have the stamina to last all week.  Taking lessons each week means I now look forward to tackling steep and challenging runs, rather than just finding a way to “get to the bottom.”  Ski Bees is a very well run, safe and fun program with the best instructors around!  I hope to be a Ski Bee for many more years. This is my third year with Ski Bees and it is a wonderful! The lessons are fabulous and it is so nice to enjoy the various ski clubs in Collingwood. The bus ride is great too, very relaxing at the end of a day of skiing. Kathryn N.

WHY I LOVE SKI BEES!
I joined SkiBees 7 years ago with a very good friend of mine, who, like me, was a beginner skier.  Our families had taken up skiing the year before and we learned about skiing from our friends in the H T School community who encouraged us to join. My friend and I knew from the minute we stepped on the bus that January morning that Wednesdays would become our favorite day of the week for the winter. We took ski lessons, with a fabulous pro who taught, encouraged and turned us into level 5 skiers who can now ski any black diamond run anywhere we go. While getting to be a better skier, I made some great friends, laughed a lot and have some amazing memories that will last a lifetime. SkiBees is a beautifully organized and well run organization and I am always encouraging friends to join – it is still one of my most favorite parts of winter and I hope to be a member for many more years to come.  Pam

WISHING THE SEASON WOULD LAST LONGER!
I am fortunate that I have been able to join the SkiBees two seasons ago, since then I find myself looking forward to the Wednesday morning relaxing bus ride with great anticipation.  The opportunity to take a lesson each week has improved my skiing and introduced me to many new “Ski Bee friends” that are as interested in the sport as I am. WEEKLY MINI VACATION:
I am a new member this year at Ski Bee’s.  I was very impressed with the warm welcome I received not only from the other’s in my ski lesson, but also from the fun & friendly ladies on my bus!!  It’s been a great mini vacation each week, the fresh air, the exercise, improving my turns and meeting others who love to ski and socialize has been a delight!  I’m quite thankful to Ski Bee’s for doing such a great job organizing this!!     Jacqui D.

MY “AHA” MOMENT IN MY LESSON!
Being a newbie empty-nester, I could finally join the Ski Bees. My first three weeks have been awesome. I have met some wonderful people and have experienced my “aha” moment during my ski lesson. My instructor is so knowledgeable and friendly and made me feel so welcome. My friend that used to be a Ski Bee told me that I will have one of the best times of my life as she did too. NO MORE WINTER BLAHS!
Being with Ski Bees is a great way to pass the winter and get out and enjoy, and avoid the winter blahs! Not only is it fun, but seeing and meeting new and old friends as well!  I have enjoyed Ski Bees for 7 years now, and would not miss it! There are many qualified instructors to help you with all your needs, to enhance your skiing ability!  I have taken lessons, and not taken lessons.  Either way,  it sure has worked for me as I started as a novice skier!  I love Ski Bees and my ski friends so much, I have decided to join the Ski Bees offer of a trip to Europe this year. Which I am sure will prove to be an exciting  adventure!  Non of which I would have done on my own!!     Sandra D.

Joining Ski bees was one of my best decisions ever! Thanks to Caroline and Ski Bees, I have a new best friend! Thanks for making our Wednesdays a ‘green dot/circle’ in terms of ease of flexibility – one can take a bus (very social and lots of food!) or drive up.  One can free ski all day or take a 1/2 day lesson.  And we get to ski the best clubs in Collingwood. With some of the most personable instructors and friendly folk that come from all over southern Ontario. I swear that Caroline knows not only each one of us by name, but she knows our level of ability and our favourite instructors.
