SKI BEES Privacy Policy

General Policy Statement

Ski Bees is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the information of its members, ski instructors and guests. We treat all collected information with complete confidentiality and work to collect the minimum amount of data necessary. 

Definitions

“Ski Bees” means Ski Bees Inc.

"Activity" means any Ski Bees Inc. organized event including, but not limited to, day trips, general and special socials, charter trips, training or any other activity or undertaking which can be reasonably related to a relationship established between or among Members and Guests of the Ski Bees.

“Member” means any current/past Ski Bees Member.

“Guest” means any person participating in a Ski Bees activity who is not a Member, but invited to participate at the request of a Member.

“Ski Instructor” means any person providing ski instruction to Ski Bees Members or Guests on behalf of Ski Bees.

Policy

Ski Bees only collects the information you provide at time of membership application/renewal and event registrations solely for the purpose of operating Ski Bees and the delivery of activities you participate in and to facilitate the delivery of any electronic communication you receive from Ski Bees.

Ski Bees is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its members, ski instructors and guest information. We treat all collected personal information with complete confidentiality and work to collect the minimum amount of data necessary. 

Personal Information

  • To manage your membership and activities you participate in and to also manage communications you receive your personal information may need to be shared with Ski Bees staff but only as needed for the delivery of those specific activities or communications;

  • Ski Bees does not sell or use your data for any other purpose; 

  • Ski Bees does not itself collect or hold payment, credit card or banking information;

  • Within your online profile you can also choose to opt out of all electronic communications;

  • Within your profile you may choose which information you wish to share in your profile with other members;

  • For participation in an activity a member’s activity specific registration information may need to be disclosed to the external travel provider in order for them to deliver that activity;

  • At the time of activity registration you can choose if your participation in an activity is visible to other members or is anonymous.

Aggregate Information

When you visit and interact with skibees.ca Ski Bees may utilize third parties, such as Google Analytics to collect anonymous information from sources such as:

Cookies:

    • are used to track website user patterns but Ski Bees will not use cookies to learn the identity of its users, nor will we attempt to track users after they leave the website.

    • cookies will not be used to gather specific personal information about individual users. 

  • Pixel Tags:
    • compile aggregate statistics about Site usage and response rates. Pixel tags allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site. 

Data Retention

Ski Bees retains some information for a minimum of seven (7) years in line with CRA taxation and audit requirements.

When Would We Disclose Your Personal Information?

We would only share your personal information when required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Policy violations will be addressed by Ski Bees Management.
